My Best friend crossed the rainbow bridge on a Monday morning. He blessed me with his presence for 16 and a half years. His name is Chiko and He was a beautiful black with white paws Shih-tzu. He came to me at a time when I was experiencing great loss. One sniff of me and he knew I needed his love, so he made me his master. Everyone through the years enjoyed his company and his barks. Many took pride in walking him and feeding him his favorite snacks "Baconstrips". He enjoyed dragging his bed to be closer to the family. His favorite Scooby Doo toy was always close to him. He felt safe as he would sleep on his back. He enjoyed when I would bring him steak. Chiko had the demeanor that only a spoiled Shih-tzu can have. He loved cooling off in the river and sun-bathing at the beach. He loved snuggling on cold night in his fluffy bed and at my feet. He was always difficult to groom, but would let me dress him in crazy outfits. He was always with me in my happy times and when I went through a few heartaches. He would enjoy going fishing with me on the jetties and solo walks on the beach. Car rides were his favorite, especially when going to pick up my son at the school bus stop. He was a blessing to my family and me. Even got to meet my Grandsons. He will be deeply missed especially by Chika his "puppy love". I will miss him most of all. He left with a piece of my soul. And I am forever grateful for Chiko, I know he will be waiting for me on the other side.
Rest In peace Soul Dog
